Montessori in Motion is sponsoring Daniel Linder’s, (MFT) presentation; Mine Yours and Ours, The Benefits of Setting Clear Boundaries. He will shed light on ways to strengthen family relationships as well as effective parenting strategies. This is a first in a series of related topics and discussions. FEBRUARY 20, 2007 7:00 - 8:30PM 3 WELLBROCK, SAN RAFAEL (AT THE CHURCH) “Mine, Yours and Ours” The Benefits of Setting Clear Boundaries Are the stresses of life and relationships making it difficult for you to parent effectively? Are you feeling overwhelmed or suffering from burn-out?” Are you over-compensating for perceived short-comings or inadequacies to the detriment of your children? Let’s get together to discuss one of the more essential, yet subtle keys to functional and optimal couple and family relationships. Basic wisdom tells us that a couple consists of two individuals who create a relationship and become three separate entities: Me, You and Us. A family consists of the ‘Us’ becoming Parents, creating yet another entity. When these boundaries get blurry or merged together, the level of stress skyrockets. Both individuals are adversely affected by increasing pain and frustration, the couple gets disconnected, and can no longer function effectively. Take the first step towards distinguishing between what is ‘mine, yours and ours,’ toward functioning more harmoniously as individuals, couples and parents, by attending this 1 hour talk.
